Can I create additional doctor profiles for the same doctor or for a brand-new doctor?
Yes! Creating multiple doctor profiles is especially useful for practices with more than one location. A separate profile for each location helps keep billing accurate and organized.
Using Unique Doctor Profiles by Location
If you add a clinic location with its own group number, you only need to create new doctor profiles under that new group number. To do this, simply clone an existing doctor profile and update the group number in the cloned record. Then, set up a new location record and assign the new profiles to that location. You can also restrict older profiles to the original location, ensuring location-based billing stays consistent.
Cloning copies common information (like the clinic’s address) so you only need to change the details specific to the new doctor, such as a Doctor ID or billing number. This approach saves time and maintains consistency when managing multiple doctors or locations.

After setting up your first doctor, the quickest way to create additional doctors is to clone the existing doctor profile (see image below).
