How to Create and Submit a Wait List Entry to Ontario Health
Scenario: You’ve received a requisition from a family physician and need to create a wait list entry electronically in HYPEMedical_WTIS.

Step 1: Locate or Create the Patient Record
Go to: Patients > Patient Profile > Search
Enter the patient’s health card number.
If the patient is new, HYPEMedical_WTIS will automatically retrieve their demographics from OHIP and create the patient record for you.

Step 2: Complete Contact Information
Once the patient record is found or created, complete their contact details.
Use Google’s address auto-complete to quickly and accurately fill in the address fields.
Click Save to store the updated information.

Step 3: Create the Wait List Entry
Click on the Waitlist Entries tab.
Select Create a Waitlist Entry.
Fill in the required fields: Requisition Received Date and Procedure Code.
Click Save, then Book An Appointment to begin planning the patient encounter.
