How do I bill UHIP? What is UHIP?

"I have an patient who is covered by UHIP. His UHIP number is entered into the health card number field and it is entered as being covered by HCP-P. When I hit save, it says that the health card number is too long. How do I correct this?"

UHIP is a confusing name and is not a typo to be corrected to OHIP.


UHIP is a private insurer, and OHIP does not broker on its behalf.


Bill UHIP as you would any other 3rd party with HYPEMedical:
  1. Change 'ClaimType' to Third Party.
  2. Choose UHIP in 'Provider Name'
  3. Enter the 'Policy Number' (UHIP number, in this case).
